Good Faith Estimate
What Is a Good Faith Estimate?
The No Surprises Act was passed in 2020 to protect consumers from surprise medical bills, often “balance billing”, that arise most often when the patient is unable to choose their provider, such as in the case of an emergency. Most of the regulations associated with the No Surprises Act apply only to emergency services, ambulance services, and certain out-of-network providers at in-network facilities.
One of these regulations require all licensed healthcare providers to offer a “Good Faith Estimate” of the cost of services to uninsured patients or those who pay cash.
At Driven, we pride ourselves on honesty and transparency — in fact, those are part of our core values. We don’t believe in withholding information from our clients, and definitely do not support the idea of handing out surprise bills or expenses. It’s one of our promises to our clients … no surprise bills, ever. To that end, the No Surprises Act does not change the way interact with our clients, since we are already fully transparent with everyone we come in contact with.
What To Do If You Would Like a Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have health insurance, or plan to self-pay for our services and do not plan to file a reimbursement claim with your insurance, we will provide you with a “Good Faith Estimate” of our costs, upon request, when you schedule at least 3 days in advance.
If you would like to request a “Good Faith Estimate” before scheduling, please call our office, fill out a contact form, or email us at info@drivenperformancept.com.
