Lifting Injuries

How to Get Rid of Lifting Pain Without Using Medicine, Having Surgery, or Skipping Workouts!

You can be out for a routine run or working out when all of a sudden you feel like a lightning bolt has struck you. Man, this hurts like hell, but I’m sure it’ll feel better tomorrow, you think.

Even when you turn in for the night, the agony is still present when you awaken the next morning. You’ve been experiencing pain for a few weeks, and now you hardly ever lift anything without experiencing discomfort.

You visit the doctor, who instructs you to rest and apply ice to the injury. Additionally, they advise you to avoid weightlifting because it’s “bad for your physique.” They might even offer you some painkillers and anti-inflammatories. Even when you don’t want to, you follow their instructions despite your opposition.

You eventually begin to feel a little better and are ready to resume lifting and working out. But as soon as you start to get back into it, the pain suddenly returns, leaving you helpless and frustrated.

This Is the Vicious Cycle in Which Many People Find Themselves Trapped.

You go to the doctor because you’re in a lot of pain. You feel better after the doctor ordered you to relax and quit exercise. You may have lost some strength, muscular mass, conditioning, and so on, but you haven’t done anything to truly address what’s wrong with your body. As soon as you feel better, you try to resume weight lifting, but the agony returns, and the cycle begins again. Many of our clients had previously gone through this before coming to visit us.

What Makes Us Unique?

When a client comes to visit us, we create a plan tailored for them that helps them feel better while also strengthening them. As a result, when their pain subsides, they can resume their routine workout without experiencing any discomfort.

If You Have a Lifting Injury, Here Are 7 More Reasons Why It May Be Lasting Longer Than It Should:

1. You expected it to go away on its own, but it didn’t.

2. You visited the doctor, who advised you to relax and take pain relievers. The medications didn’t help, and as they wore off, the pain returned.

3. Someone in your family or network of friends told you that lifting weights harms everyone and that you’d just have to cope with it.

4. You’ve seen other doctors and physical therapists, but nothing they said or did helped.

5. You tried activities from YouTube that didn’t work or made your discomfort worse.

6. You thought it would be a good idea to rest because you were in so much agony, but it only made you feel stiffer and tighter.

7. You had a few “massages” to try to relieve your discomfort, but all they did was make you feel better and relax. They did nothing to alleviate the agony in the long run.

If any of these things have happened to you, please let us know. Make an appointment with our weightlifting injury specialist to find out what may be done to assist you. If you’ve tried some or all of these things, that’s GREAT since it means you know what doesn’t work and are getting closer to discovering what does.

I was suffering from 6 months of off and on excruciating nerve pain in my lower back, right side. After just 2 sessions, the pain was gone. Dr. Joe actually chose the winning exercise in our first session. He also gave me doable exercises for core strengthening to help with general back ache. I highly recommend him.
